The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) is a dynamic student-oriented institution which provides a broad spectrum of high-quality, career-oriented diploma, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes in areas ranging from Science and Technology to Education, the Arts, Sports and Security and Public Safety. UTT, the only National University, was established in 2004 with a mandate to educate and train nationals, and today, the University has become a fast-growing community of scholars which now serves a culturally diverse population of students.
UTT received Institutional Accreditation from the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) in December 2010. As an entrepreneurial University dedicated to providing quality tertiary education and training, UTT has fourteen (14) campuses throughout Trinidad and Tobago, with its Signature Tamana Campus set to open by 2015.
With its genesis in the Trinidad and Tobago Institute of Technology (TTIT), UTT's primary focus is on the development of Trinidad and Tobago. Today, the University offers more than fifty (50) Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes which serve the diverse need for educational opportunities, spanning the Certificate to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) levels.
